EMPLOYMENT
2/15/99 – Present:  Systems Integration Analyst Spec. at Lockheed Martin, Management and Data Systems, Fairfax, VA.  Duties:  Assist in administering the NT 4.0 LANs in the WMA headquarters building, plus manage the distribution and maintenance of laptops for WMA managers, implement the laptop aspect of the WMA Windows 2000 upgrade push, and update network and system documentation for Windows 2000.  Used PGP software to implement a secure PKI-based encrypted email system for an international project.
Project:  12/1/99 - 1/31/00:  Researched the current state of GPS technology to see if it would support location-based authentication for computer networks. Project Manager:  Shelly Whirley
Project:  10/15/99 - 11/16/01:  Team Lead in designing a Wide Area Network for the Maryland State Women’s Infants Children’s program, with 100 sites across the state, using a combination of T-1, Frame Relay, and VPN.  Manager: Dave Thomas, Project Manager:  Dan Elsea
Project:  11/4/02 – 5/9/03:  Provide network and web portal administration for the NSGI GeoScout proposal, using SharePoint Portal Server.  Supervisor:  Steve Spicuzza
Project:  5/12/03 – 10/31/03:  Provide networking and sysadmin support to the Integrated Solutions Center (ISC) Information Research & Development (IR&D) Intelligent Information Factory (IIF) unit.  Install, configure, and administer IBM RS-6000 pSeries, 7026-6H0 and 6M1 servers with the AIX 4.3.3 and 5.1 operating systems, plus DB2 7.01/8.0, C++, and IBM WebSphere Portal software in support of a proposal for the Dept. of Homeland Security, using IBM ESS 800 “Shark”, SSA 7133-D40, 2104-DU3, and EMC Symmetrix SAN devices.
Project:  11/1/03 – 3/31/04:  Key person on IIF team standing up the DHS Customs (National Targeting Center) IIF Prototype Program (NTCIPP).  Team lead building the Active Directory domain, the domain controllers, and DNS, in addition to establishing system requirements, creating the security schema, and contributing Systems input to Configuration Management.  Participated in the Engineering Review Board (ERB), Integrated Working Group (IWG), and Preliminary Design Review (PDR) panel.  Continued supporting the IIF IR&D in addition to these duties.
Project:  4/1/04 – 2/28/05:  Overall Systems Administrator for Sunrise Plaza facility for Horizontal IS&S Transformation Engineering Center (HITEC).  Perform all technical administrative activities for the ACELAB and NTCIPP domains, including inventory custodianship.  Assist in conversion from NT4 domain environment to Windows Server 2003 Active Directory environment.
Project:  3/1/05 – Present:  Chief Engineer for WMA HITEC:  Assist HITEC management gathering IRAD requirements for projects and labs, arranging the interdepartmental support needed to stand up those labs, preparing HITEC purchase requirements, assuring all WMA HITEC labs are adhering to the same policies and standards, evaluating and recommending on new hires, and preparing reports for higher management.  Supervisor:  Donna Wallace

10/26/94 – 2/8/99:  Network Specialist at Frederick County Public Schools, Winchester, VA.
Duties:  Fully administered 6 Novell 4.1x LANs in 4 buildings, to include design, installation, security management, and maintenance.  Participated in security policy meetings and helped write the network and computer Security Policy, including establishing a county-wide convention for username and password creation. Assisted in the design and implementation of system-wide, centrally managed Internet and email access via the WAN, using Netscape Navigator 3.01 and a Sun Eclipse E/2 firewall/proxy server, including the establishment of policies and procedures for dealing with both student and teacher/staff email and internet usage, focusing on content filtering and site blocking in combination with position-specific individually signed Acceptable Use Policies.  Implemented individual workstation security for students with a combination of the Fortress program and Windows Policies.
Project:  Designed, implemented, and administered a document imaging and imaging database management system, using medium-volume scanners, CD-ROM recorders, networked CD-ROM towers and jukeboxes, and MS Access.

10/19/93 - 10/25/94: Software Technician for Advanced Resource Technologies, Inc. and Eastern Computers, Inc. at the Office, Chief Army Reserves, in Arlington, VA.
Duties: Install, maintain, and configure many types of PC network software, especially the Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus CC:Mail, CDC's government Forms Engine program, and FoxPro 2.0 and 2.5, as well as conduct software classes for in-house clients.  Provide first and second level troubleshooting and administrative services for Novell 3.12 Metropolitan Area Network, including the operation of a help desk using Support Magic for Windows.  Specialize in PC memory and Windows 3.1 troubleshooting and configurations.

8/18/92 - 5/3/93:  Information Center Specialist with GTE Data Services at CANTV, Caracas, Venezuela.
Duties: Study network standards and requirements for company WAN/LAN in team of 5.  Conduct cost/configuration comparison study to determine best networking strategy for company, which previously had no networks.

3/19/90 - 8/17/92:  End User Analyst with GTE Data Services at CONTEL, Chantilly, VA.
Duties: Troubleshoot and repair all types of pc hardware and software problems, plus printer, monitor, communications, and other problems.  Administer and maintain 3 local area networks.  Administer and maintain a parts store and inventory.  Evaluate and make purchasing recommendations for pc hardware and software.
